Maxine P. Nichols, 88, of Evansville, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville.

She was born in Newtonville, on January 17, 1933, to the late Denzil and Alberta Price.

She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Richland and attended Fairlawn United Methodist Church in Evansville. 

Maxine loved her family, granddaughter, and great-grandchildren immensely. She started her career at General Electric in Tell City. She was actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the family farm. Furthermore, she also enjoyed preparing for corporate and special events at Just Rennie’s Catering.

Maxine is survived by her son, Mike Nichols, and his wife, Debra; her daughter, Marla Jo Rennie, and her husband, Douglas; her granddaughter, Danielle Nicole Williams, and her husband, Bradley; and her great-grandchildren, Keegan Lee Williams, Madelyn Grace Williams, and Savannah Jo Williams. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Nichols, and her brother, Charles Kenneth Price.

Services for Maxine Nicholas will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 21, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Randy Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Gwaltney Memorial Park, commonly known as Midway Cemetery in Midway.

Visitation is 11a.m. until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
