Nancy R. Huebschman, 80, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Oakwood Health Campus.
She was born on December 25, 1940, the daughter of the late Homer and Nora (Miles) Wheeler, and was raised by the late William and Eva Esarey of Bristow. She married her husband of 63 years, Donald Huebschman, on November 30, 1957.
She had been employed at General Electric and also LaCantina, Louis Tavern, PMA and Micks Market.
Nancy enjoyed playing euchre, dominos and word search puzzles. Her granddaughters and great-granddaughter were her sunshine.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Huebschman of Evanston; sons, Don (Rachel) Huebschman of Santa Claus and Nathan Huebschman of Evanston; sisters, Irene Kreig of Tell City, Mary Lasiter of Greenwood and Priscilla Wheeler of Auburn, GA; granddaughters, Tiffany (Travis) Roll of Evanston, Winnerly (Troy) Jeffers of Santa Claus and a great-granddaughter, Kenedi Jeffers.
In addition to her parents and her foster parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bill Wheeler, John Wheeler, Jim Wheeler, Homer Lee Wheeler, Nelson Wheeler, Dorothy Franchville, Olive June Lassiter and an infant sibling.
Services will be 2 pm Saturday, June 26, at St. John Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home and from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or Heart to Heart Hospice.
