Nina June Hicks, 89, of Grandview, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City.
June was born in Chrisney on January 20, 1935, to John and Pauline (Massey) Graham.
June was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and dedicated her life to the Lord. She worked for G.E. and also as a cook at the Dale nursing home, Heritage Hills High School, Newtonville School, and worked also at Lincoln State Park.
June loved to shop and cook for her friends and family, and to dance.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lou Hicks; sons Cody Mills, Jimmy Mills and Cecil Weatherholt; two brothers and eight sisters.
June is survived by her children, Diana (Dale) Schaad of Tell City, Roger Mills of Chrisney, Anita (Bobby) Hagan of Grandview, Nikki Hicks, Louie (Deanna) Hicks, and Rusty Hicks; 47 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday on September 13, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Brian Bailey officiating.
Visitation is from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday, September 12, and from 9 until 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
