Nina Yvonne Sisley, 95, of Grandview, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Rockport.
Yvonne was born September 12, 1925, in Spencer County to the John M. and Lola M. (Quick) Smith.
She was a Grandview High School graduate and a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church. She had worked at G.E. in Tell City and Owensboro for 25 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers and the outdoors.
In addition to her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Ray Sisley; her son, John “Bill” Sisley; her brothers, Elmer Smith, Don Smith and Darrell Pennington; and her sister, Thelma Lee Hunter.
Yvonne is survived by her daughter-in-law, Janis Sisley; her grandchildren, Amy Wiles and her husband, Doug, and Emily Neighbors and her husband, Nick; her great-grandchildren, Gabriel Wiles, Alexander Wiles, Cole Neighbors, Lane Neighbors and Lauren Hawk; her sister, Helen Lottes; several nieces and nephews.
Services are 10 a.m. Thursday, June 24, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery in Newtonville.
Visitation is from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
