Patricia “Susie” Shirel, 66, of Owensboro, Kentucky, formerly of Rockport, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.
Susie was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on July 18, 1955, to William R. “Bill” Shirel and Patty Jo (Warnke) Shirel.
Susie was a graduate of South Spencer High School. She worked at J. I. Hass in Owensboro. Susie loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Wayne Westfall Jr.; her mother, Patty Jo Shirel; and brother, Billy “Pud” Shirel.
Susie is survived by her father, William R. “Bill” Shirel of Owensboro, Kentucky; grandchildren, Lexi Westfall (Lucian Lawson), Donivan Westfall (Samara Carnahan), Nathan Johnson and Wyatt Dispenza, all of Evansville; great-grandchildren, Emersyn Ellis and Memphis Ellis; siblings, Mary Shirel of Owensboro, Kentucky, Bobbi Cotton (Charles), of Grandview and Mark Shirel of Owensboro, Kentucky; the grandchildren’s mother, Kristina Stinson of Newburgh; special friend and co-worker, Connie Mattingly of Owensboro, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Services are 1 p.m. Monday, October 4, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Steve Mead officiating.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
