Paul Neal Cameron, 61, of Rockport, loving husband, proud father, grandfather, and brother passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Linda E. White Hospice House surrounded by his family after a long, hard battle with cancer.

Paul was born in Evansville on May 17, 1963, to the late John W. Cameron Sr. and Frances (Miller) Cameron.

Paul was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Rockport Council No. 11165. He served in the United States Navy and was a member of Newburgh American Legion Post No. 44, Owensboro VFW No. 696 and Amvets No. 75. Paul was an active member of the Republican Party. He worked for the South Spencer School Corporation for 15 years and Waupaca Foundry for 16 years. Anyone who knew Paul knew about his love for his country and over decorating for every holiday. On a normal day you could find Paul building something, wood working, working in the yard, planting flowers, and playing with his dog and fur grandbabies. Paul always put his family first and would do anything for his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Lutz.

Paul is survived by his wife of 35 years, Melissa Cameron of Rockport; his sons, of whom he was so proud, Ronald Cameron and Christopher Cameron and his wife, Tasha, all of Rockport. Paul was looking forward to meeting his first granddaughter, Aubree Cameron who was born a few days before his passing. Also surviving are his siblings, Dianne Schenk of Evansville, Carla Wagner of Owensboro, KY, John Cameron Jr. and his wife, Cindy of Richland and Scott Cameron of Owensboro, KY; many extended family and friends.

Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Rockport with Father Ron Kreilein officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery. Military honors will be rendered.

Visitation is from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday, August 5, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, and from 8 until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
