Pauline (Jones) Parker, 100, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, with her family at her side.
Pauline was born December 17, 1921, in Rockport, to Leo and Narcissa (Young) Jones.
She attended Lockyear Business College and then worked for McConnell Coal Co. She married Robert C. Parker, Sr. in 1942 at Camp Wolters in Mineral Wells, TX. They had two children and resided in Darmstadt for 44 years.
Pauline was an active member of the Robert Morris Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. Her favorite activities were outings and dinners with family and friends. She spent many weeks in the summers with Bob and family members and friends enjoying fishing in the Lake of the Woods, out of Nestor Falls, Ontario, Canada. She was an avid reader and a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Evansville Otters and U E Aces basketball.
Pauline was a former member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Inglefield, a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Rockport and attended St. Paul’s UCC German Township of Evansville.
Pauline is survived by her son, Robert (Kimberlee) Parker, Jr. and daughter Cissy (Toby) Kraft, both of Evansville; sister-in-law Mary Anne Parker of Rockport; step-grandson, Bryce (Amanda) Pitlick of DeSoto, IL; precious step-great-grandchildren; very special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and dear cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; parents, Leo and Narcissa Jones; grandson, Daryl Niemeier; infant sister, Bessie Charline Jones; sister and brother-in-law, Eva and Shammy McIntyre; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cliff and Rilla Parker; brother-in-law, Paul Ray Parker, Sr.; nephew, Todd Parker; great-nephew, Steve Andrews; and great-niece, Brooke Kellems.
A graveside service were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 30, at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Rockport, led by Pastor Terry Farmer and Pastor Bryce Pitlick.
