Lincoln Pioneer Village and Museum played host to guests from far and wide on Saturday, May 13 for Heritage Day. Re-enactors were joined by guests from the area and even from neighboring states. The re-enactors shared their artisanal skills and vast knowledge of how life was lived in the early days of Spencer County.
From candle-making to education to entertainment in the form of music, guests got more than just a taste of life in the 1800s.
The museum was also open to peruse throughout the day with a vast array of historical items from the past — many one-of-a-kind and quite unique.
See this story and more in this week’s edition of the Spencer County Leader, and if you missed Heritage Day make plans to visit the Spencer County Museum and Village located inside Rockport City Park.
