Phyllis E. Ice, 76, of Rockport, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at Golden Living Center in Petersburg.
Born in Seymour, on June 16, 1944, to the late Benjamin Wilder and Gladys (Gunn) Wilder Barrett, Phyllis was a graduate of Rockport High School “Zebras” and had worked as a security guard. She was a member of Rockport First United Methodist Church.
Phyllis loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Phyllis is survived by her sons, Jerry Lee Ice and his wife, Nicolette, of North Carolina and Pat Allen Ice of Petersburg; grandchildren, Jessica Meece, Lane Meece, and Melody Meece; great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Grant; step-siblings, Betty McQueary, Mary Lou McGee, and Shirley Fitzgerald; and sister-in-law, Doris Blake.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Ice, and her daughter, Jacqueline Sue Ice.
Services for Phyllis Ice will be private, with burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Richland.
