Rebecca I. “Becky” James, 67, of Dale, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
She was born on June 30, 1953, in Evansville, to the late John Ringo and Irene (Wade) Ringo.
Becky and her husband, Billy, owned and operated VHS Home Video in Dale, and she later worked at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Becky was well known for making cakes and was very artistic. She was a member of Heilman Mt. Olive General Baptist Church and was baptized by Rev. Jason Moore on March 4, 2018.
Becky is survived by her children, Charity Granderson and her husband, Danny, of Dale, Amy James of Carmel, Brandy Green and her husband, William, of Chrisney and Matthew James and his wife, Breya, of Ferdinand; grandchildren, Talis James, Tesia Hay, Tristan Granderson, Teagan Granderson, Zac Granderson, Allyson Broadstreet, Colin Ripley, Liam Green, Ellis James, and Ophelia James; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy James; daughter, Kristy Ripley; and siblings.
Funeral services for Rebecca “Becky” James will be private, with burial at Garrison Chapel Cemetery in Heilman.
