Richard “Rick” Alan Young, 58, of Richland, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville.
He was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, on October 25, 1962, to Orbie Ray and Martha Lee (Adkisson) Young.
Rick attended Western Kentucky University, where he had earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics. He was employed as a project manager in construction. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and traveling.
He is survived by his mother, Martha Lee Young; his siblings, Jesse Ray Young and his wife, Sharon, Randall James Young, and Scott Lee Young and his wife, Vada; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orbie Ray Young.
Services for Richard “Rick” Alan Young will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 12, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Walter Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
