Many streets in Rockport will undergo re-paving through a grant for which the city applied. The City will receive $423,372.70 from the grant and will only have to pay $141,124.
The street pavings will include: 5th Street from Walnut to Seminary; Seminary from 5th to 6th streets; South 5th Street from Seminary to dead end; North 6th Street from Main to Washington; South 6th Street from Main to North Street; West Center Street from Lincoln to 9th Street; South 8th Street from West Center to dead end; Elm Street from 2nd to Lincoln Avenue; Elm Street from Lincoln Avenue to 9th Street; 9th Street from Elm Street to Main Street; Pearl Street from 5th Street to 6th Street; Mill Street from 5th Street to 4th Street; North Park Street from Vine to Hwy. 66; Vine Street from North Park Street to North 10th Street; North 10th Street from Vine to Hwy. 66; Washington Street from Lincoln Avenue to 5th Street; Washington Street from Lincoln Avenue to city limits; 2nd Street from Main to north end; 3rd Street from Main to Pearl Street; Pearl Street from 3rd to 4th Street; 3rd Street from Walnut to Seminary Street; 3rd Street from Seminary to 1032 South; Seminary from 2nd Street to 5th Street; Walnut Street from 8th to Lincoln Avenue; Walnut Street from Lincoln Avenue to South 6th Street; Walnut from South 6th Street to cul-de-sac (except 2nd to 3rd, exempt conc.); 4th from Main Street to Washington Street; 4th Street from Main Street to Seminary Street; Center Street from Short Center to 4th Street (225’ exempt); Washington Street from 4th to 5th Street; Greenwood Street from Main Street to Walnut Street; Greenwood from Main Street to Elm Street; Seminary from Lincoln Avenue to Fairground Drive; Eureka Road from 8th to 10th Street; 10th Street from Eureka Road to Maple Street; Maple Street from 10th Street to Lincoln Avenue; 8th Street from Main Street to Maple Street; 8th Street from Main Street to Washington Street; Jefferson Street from Lincoln Avenue to 5th Street; Jefferson Street from Lincoln Avenue to MMM entrance; 7th Street from Sycamore to Washington Street; North Lincoln from Sycamore to Halbruge Street; Rosewood from Sycamore Street to Lincoln Avenue; and South Street from South 6th Street to South 7th Street.
