Rose Mariee Rust, 84, of Grandview, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville.
Rose was born on January 25, 1938, to Paul and Dorothy (Nix) Fortwendel and raised in Troy.
Rose was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She had worked at Mead Johnson in Evansville, Dale State Bank of Grandview, and retired from the State of Indiana.
She was a member of the Grandview Bunco Group, Grandview Civic Association, Tri Kappa, and the Rockport American Legion Post 254 Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Rust in 1992, and brother, Paul Gerald Fortwendel.
Rose is survived by her sons, Ron Rust and his wife, Sandy of Grandview and Brad Rust and his wife, Tammy of Newburgh; grandchildren, Megan Rust, Brooke Greene and her husband, Chad, Maria Rust, Zachary Rust and William Rust; great-grandchildren, Adley, Arya and Asher Greene; sisters-in-law, Verena Fortwendel, Rose Rust, Ruth Ann Malone and Sharon Rust.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Rockport, with Father Ron Kreilein officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Troy.
Visitation is from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, and from 9 until 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
