New in 2019: Grilled Pork Chop Dinners
ROCKPORT, IN—–The public is invited to the annual Saint Bernard Summer Social on Saturday, August 17 on the church grounds at 6th & Pearl St. in Rockport, IN. Hours are 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. CDT for food and game booths. The beer & wine garden will be open from 6:30 until 10:30 and live music featuring Beginner’s Luck Band from 7:30 until 10:30.
A new feature this year will be grilled pork chop dinners along with the traditional roast beef dinners served in the air-conditioned gym starting at 4:00 p.m. until the food runs out. Drive through carry-out will be available at the corner of 6th & Elm. Dinners can also be delivered to the homebound, elderly and people who are working; call to order at 812-649-2106. Saint Bernard’s famous faux turtle soup will be on sale by the bowl or gallon and hamburgers, brats, corn dogs and other food items will be available in the
food court.
Other features include games for all ages, homemade ice cream, silent auction, money wheel, crafts, kiddie train rides, quilt raffle, and big money raffle for a chance to win $1,000.00. Classic car owners are encouraged to bring their car to the classic car cruise-in held during the summer social.
Raffle drawings will be held at 9:00 p.m. including a drawing for a 1965 Corvette Convertible. Corvette raffle tickets are still available.
