Last Friday, August 28, at approximately 8:50 p.m., the Indiana State Police responded to a shooting that occurred at 2424 N Dillard Road in Birdseye. Preliminary investigation shows Lisa Harris, 57, of Newburgh, shot 56-year-old Michael Harris, also of Newburgh.
Michael Harris was treated for serious injuries at the scene by Crawford County EMS and transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Lisa Harris was incarcerated in the Crawford County Jail for Homicide.
The investigation is ongoing.
Indiana State Police were assisted at the scene by Crawford County Sheriffs Office and Crawford County EMS.
