Driver flees after sideswipe

Katie Blankford, 30, of Owensboro, KY, was eastbound on SR 66 near Richland when, she later told authorities, her 2016 Honda Odyssey was sideswiped by an eastbound truck as it passed her. The driver of the second vehicle continued driving and did not stay at the scene. Blankford was not injured in the March 20, 12:07 p.m. collision, but damage to her vehicle was estimated between $1,000-2,500.

Strikes light pole

Travis Mislivecek 31, of Newburgh, was eastbound on Plaza Drive in Rockport when, according to the report, he continued to travel straight where the road turned, causing him to strike a light pole and fence. Mislivecek was not injured in the April 2, 10:30 p.m. accident, but estimated damages were between $1,000-2,500.

Ran off road

Judith Harper, 58, of Richland, was southbound on County Road 600W near Richland when her 1997 Ford Explorer ran off the west side of the road and struck a ditch. According to the report, the roof and driver’s side of the vehicle was dragged across the pavement during the course of the accident. Harper was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries she received in the April 4, 1:35 p.m. crash. Damage to her Explorer was estimated between $5,000-10,000.

Driver facing multiple charges after crashing during police pursuit

At approximately 10:53 p.m. on April 6, during a police pursuit that lasted nearly 60 miles, 40-year-old Joseph Fetter of Tennyson took a curve too fast on Old Lamar Highway near Grandview and spun out, striking a culvert embankment. After his vehicle came to rest in a ditch, Fetter then allegedly fled the scene on-foot before being apprehended in a farm field west of the accident scene. Fetter was charged with multiple infractions, misdemeanors and felonies, including two counts of resisting law enforcement, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, reckless driving and criminal recklessness.
