Ran off road

Joshua Carter, 35, of Owensboro, KY, was eastbound on SR 66 near Rockport when he turned left onto the ramp and his 2010 Chevrolet Malibu overturned and strike a concrete median. Carter was not injured in the March 6, 11:50 p.m. accident, but damages were estimated between $5,000-10,000.

Rear-end collision

David Finley, 56, of Rockport, was stopped at the intersection of SR 66 from the off-ramp of US 231, attempting to turn right onto SR 66, when his 2019 Honda Odyssey was struck from behind by a 2017 Hyundai Sonata driven by 32-year-old David Moseley of Tell City. Neither driver was injured in the March 8, 4:35 p.m. collision. Total damages were estimated between $1,000-2,500.

Hit-and-run

Coleman Waldrip, 37, of Rockport, was stopped on County Road 350 W, waiting to turn onto SR 66, when, he later told police, a dark-colored SUV turning right onto CR 350 struck the back of his 2014 Ford F-150. According to Waldrip, the driver of the SUV hit its brakes and slowed after the collision before continuing south on CR 350. Waldrip informed police the other vehicle would have damage to the front driver’s side; his truck sustained between $5,000-10,000 in damage to the driver’s side bedside and rear bumper. The responding officer requested a case number for leaving the scene of an accident, but due to a lack of information, there were no known suspects at the time of the report. Waldrip was not injured in the March 3, 7:02 p.m. collision.

Sideswipe

Shannon Clark, 48, of Dale, was southbound on US 231 when, she later told police, she attempted to get into the left lane to pass cars in front of her but failed to notice a southbound 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by 58-year-old Brian Colter of Chandler and struck it. Neither driver was injured in the March 4, 3:09 p.m. collision. Damages were estimated between $2,500-5,000.
