Stanley “Joe” Bohler, 97, of Rockport, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville.
Joe was born in Rockport on July 23, 1927, to Charles and Mae (Phelps) Bohler.
Joe was a brickmaker and a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. He loved to walk, yard work, and his tobacco. Most of all, he loved riding around with his grandkids.
Joe is survived by his daughters, Peggy Jane (Bohler) Rainey and Bobbie Jo (Bohler) York; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 547 Elm St., Rockport, IN 47635, with Father Ron Kreilein officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport has been entrusted with care.
