Stanley E. Wangler, 88, of Dale, formerly of Rockport, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
Stanley was born in Spencer County on January 3, 1934, to the late William and Ovie (Igert) Wangler.
He attended Richland Christian Church for many years and had been a member of Rockport Odd Fellows. He retired as a technician with Vectren, and after retirement, drove for SWIRCA.
Stanley enjoyed woodworking, fishing, storytelling, riding motorcycles, riding his tractor and mowing grass. He also loved babies.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Wangler; his children, Vicki Meredith and her husband, Johnny, Mike Wangler and his wife, Nina, and Randy Wangler and his wife, Jayne; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his first wife, Joy Marie Wangler, who passed away in 2011.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Carl Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
