Susan Jane Pounds, 83, of Rockport, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Rockport.
Susan was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on May 29, 1936, to the late Thomas North and Margaret Helen (Kasey) Miller.
A member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Rockport, Susan was also a member of Rockport American Legion Post 254 Ladies Auxiliary. She had worked at the Spencer County Public Library for many years and she loved to shop.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Gilbert Pounds; her children, Lisa Kay Pounds and Tracy Kent Pounds; and her grandson, Thomas Axton Pounds. Susan is survived by her son, Kerry Pounds; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Ann Stoermer; many extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, April 27, at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Rockport.
Visitation will be from 12 until 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport.
