Thelma G. Owens, 89, of Rockport, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at her home.
Thelma was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on October 12, 1933, to the late Riley Hayden and Alma (Carter) Williams.
Thelma dearly loved her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing with her dogs, watching Jimmy Swaggert, and cleaning. She was very picky about her house.
In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Paul Owens; and her sister, Dorothy Harris.
She is survived by her children, Paul “Pee Wee” Owens and his wife, Connie; Inez Hurm and her husband, Cleon; and Danny Owens and his wife, Catherine; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services are 10 a.m., Friday, June 16, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Carl Jones officiating. Burial will follow at James Parker Cemetery.
Visitation is 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday, June 15, and 9 until 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
