Thomas Joseph “Tommy” Coffey Jr., 53, of Rockport, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at his home.
Tommy was born in Eldorado, Illinois on June 18, 1972, to Thomas J. Coffey Sr. and Bonnie (Klaffer) Rhoades.
Tommy was a member of Lincoln Hills Baptist Church.
He had many jobs over the years. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels, playing guitar, wood working, playing pool, listening to music and collecting M&M memorabilia.
Tommy was one terrific guy! He was a big jokester, did great impersonations, and gave the best hugs.
Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Coffey Sr. and his grandparents, Minnie Emons, George Klaffer, Myrna Gaines and Chester Gaines.
He is survived by his wife, Leisa (Lampkins) Coffey; his daughters, Hilary Coffey (Shawn Wilkinson) and MaKayla Veach; his sons, Donald Wedding, Thomas Coffey III, Bradyn Coffey (Melissa), Draxtyn Coffey, and Clyde Michael Bowman; his mother, Bonnie Rhoades (Jim); his sisters, Kimberly Valentine (George) and Tammy Klein (Gary); his grandchildren, Draigyn Wilkinson, Paisley Wilkinson, Lailynn Coffey, Ravyn Coffey and Liam Green; and his stepmother, Suzette Coffey.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday, July 24, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Steve Buse officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
