Vetra A. (Young) Collins, 105, of Tennyson, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020.
Vetra was born in Linden, West Virginia on February 27, 1915.
She was employed by Sears Roebuck in Charleston, West Virginia and retired after 25 years before moving to Indiana. She is a member of Tennyson General Baptist Church and attended Bethabara General Baptist Church. Vetra enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Bradford Young; and siblings, Macel McGlothlin, Patricia Mee and Orlan Young.
Survivors include her son, Ronald A. Collins and his wife, Barbara of Tennyson; grandchildren, Roxanne Collins Will and Sharon L. (Collins) Evitts; great-grandchildren, Nichole J. Coppersmith, Christina L. Will, John A. Will (Hallie), Robin L. Evitts II (Catie) and Max A. Evitts; great-great-grandchildren, Christopher Coppersmith (Heather), Victoria Rose Will, Alexandria M. Will, Alessia J. Will, John M. Will, Rhett A. Will, Tlitha Lowe, Briana L. Marazon, James A. Harden; two great-great-great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 until 4 p.m. on Friday, March 6, at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville.
Services for Vetra Collins will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 6, at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Westerman officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville.
