William E. “Bill” Hardin, 66, of Rockport, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
Bill was born in Cannelton on December 29, 1954, to Everett L. and Thelma J. (Goodson) Hardin.
He was a member of Spencer County Church of Christ and attended Chrisney High School.
Bill was a United States Army veteran and was a member of the U.S. Army Surface to Air Missile Group. He worked at Barmet for several years and had also worked at two Ford dealerships for many years.
Bill was a member of the Chrisney Golf Association and loved to hunt and fish. He was also a poet and had written two books last year. He loved his country and God. He said that staying active was the key to life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Lee Gabbert and Janet Brannon.
Bill is survived by his son, Travis Ray Hardin, and two sisters, Victoria Sue Reed and Patricia Vangrift.
A memorial service will be held from 2 until 5 p.m. Sunday, February 14, at Spencer County Church of Christ in Rockport.
