William H. “Bill” Harney, Jr., 71, of Grandview, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.
Bill was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on November 25, 1952, to the late William H. Harney, Sr. and Oma Dean Geneva (Hester) Harney.
Bill was a member of Bethel Christian Center in Reo. He had worked as a millwright and was a member of Millwright Local 1080. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf, and his cat, Princess.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his son, Silas Harney; his grandson, Izaak Harney; his great-grandson, Beau Silas Harney; and his brother, Perry Harney.
Bill is survived by his wife, Beth Harney of Grandview; his son, William Seth Harney and his wife, Misty, of Owensboro, Kentucky; his daughter, Sara Beth Morrison of Owensboro, Kentucky; his daughter-in-law, Katrina Harney of Rockport; his grandchildren, Damian Harney and his wife, Elisa; Joseph Harney and his wife, Britteny; Jacob Harney; Isaias Morrison; and Mason Morrison; his step-grandchildren, Hunter Ross, Ashton Ross, and Gabriel Schoonover; four great-grandchildren; his sister, Shelia Coy and her husband, Richard; and his brother, Kim Harney and his wife, Gay Ann.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday, February 9, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastors Walter Phillips and Mark Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Newtonville.
Visitation is 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
