William M. “Bill” Harris, 76 of Rockport, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022.
Bill was born on November 14, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky to Lucille (Mackey) and Wm. “Smitty” Harris.
He was a 1965 graduate of Broomfield (CO) High School and attended college before serving in the United States Army.
Bill worked for Whirlpool, G.E., MPD, and Old National Bank before his retirement.
Bill’s favorite pastimes included bicycling, maintaining the family’s computers, telling “Dad” jokes, and debating politics with friends at The Rustic.
He is survived by six siblings: Ron Harris of Highland Ranch, CO, Randy (Sherry) Harris of Murfreesboro, TN, Jane (James) Senefeld of Columbia, TN, Nancy (Shammy) McIntyre of Rockport, Brenda (Michael) Atkinson of Rockport and Barbie (Gill) Sawyer of Montgomery, AL. He was the proud uncle to Jennifer (Eric) Viars, Brandon Harris, Natasha (Alan) Boyer, Chelsea McIntyre, Rachel (John) Kramer, Curtis (Theresa Buck) Atkinson, Emily Senefeld, Mariah Atkinson, Lauren (Charlie) Ghee and Shelby White; along with nine great-nieces and nephews, Nick, Jada, Evan, Jude, Caroline, Camden, Aubrey, Janey and Maggie.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Friday, December 30, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. A burial and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a memorial of your choice.
