William “Terry” Smith, 76, of Hatfield, passed away on Tuesday, September, 1, 2020, at his home.
Terry was born in Hatfield, on December 30, 1943 to the late James “Bill” and Nancy (Scales) Smith.
Terry had retired from Vectren after 25 + years of service. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and Eureka Masonic Lodge No. 397.
In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Smith, who passed away in 2000; his brother, Larry Smith, and his cousins, Paul and Harold Webb.
Terry is survived by his daughter, Shannon Ring, and her husband, Phillip, of Bowling Green, KY; his son, Jeff Smith, and his wife, Casey Cable, of Richmond, VA; his grandchildren, Austin Ring, Elizabeth Ring, and Victoria Ripple; two great-grandchildren, Aiden Ring and Lily Ripple; his companion, Peggy Young, of Hatfield; his siblings, Bonita Duley (Billy) of Newburgh, and Don Smith (Cathy) of Dayton, OH.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2020, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 4987 W. CR 200 N, Richland, IN 47634 with Pastor Marsha Carpenter and Jim Ahl III officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.. until 2 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
Boultinghouse Funeral Home of Rockport, is entrusted with care.
