Wilma Jean Garrett, 83, of Rockport, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Community Hospital in Anderson.
Wilma was born in Henderson, Kentucky on October 26, 1940, to the late Maxie and Elizabeth (Burgess) Dunn.
Wilma was a homemaker and sold Mary Kay Cosmetics. She was an excellent seamstress, an amazing cook, and loved genealogy. She enjoyed reading her Bible, spending time with her family, and being on stage.
Wilma was a 1958 graduate of Central High School in Evansville and had attended Bethel Christian Center in Reo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bobbie Carl Dunn, Joann Coleman and Wayne Dunn.
Wilma is survived by her husband, J. D. Garrett; her children, Pamela Garrett, Cathy Stewart, Troy Garrett and his wife, Connie, Joelle McBride and her husband, David, Angie Garrett, and Jennifer Mollet and her husband, Shawn; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and her brothers, Paul Dunn and Ronn Dunn and his wife, Gretchen.
Services are 12 p.m. Friday, October 18, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Brother Joe Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Alexander Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
