Soon Rome will take its place in the world from a brand new spot on the internet!

A mini-grant from Indiana Historical Society will fund a new website. This will allow Rome to showcase its 200 year history, promote community events, illustrate the progress of renovation and securely accept donations.

Ian Jarboe’s company, Feed the Giant, has been selected to develop the site. As the Courthouse construction moves forward, everyone can follow the progress on Rome’s pages.

In the future, volunteer opportunities, membership and building rental can all be accomplished in one place.

Additionally, Southern Indiana Power has awarded an Operation Round Up grant to Rome Community Center in the amount of $2524.75. This will enable the Courthouse to purchase new tables for the annual events and community meetings that take place there.

These are two more examples of the overwhelming community support that is enabling Rome to move forward!

Heritage Support Grants are provided by the Indiana Historical Society and made possible by Lilly Endowment, Inc.
