Families with children and other dependents with special needs, no matter what the age or disability, face many serious questions about how to best prepare for their dependent’s future well-being.
Parents and caregivers of Special Olympics Indiana athletes are encouraged to attend one of the upcoming free, informational workshops led by Special Needs Planner Gordon Homes and addressing such critical issues as protecting government benefit eligibility for Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Special Needs Trusts, ABLE Accounts, and the importance of a Will.
Gordon Homes is a true professional and the father of a son with special needs. This is a great opportunity for people in the community to learn and ask questions about special needs financial planning. Sessions include a 45-minute presentation and 45-minute question and answer forum. Gordon and his team will provide a light dinner for all attendees who register one week in advance of each seminar.

Gordon Homes is a Financial Advisor with WestPoint Financial Group. He provides objective and customized insurance and investment strategies to help meet the financial needs of his clients. Prior to joining WestPoint Financial Group, Gordon spent 35 years with MetLife as a Financial Planner, emphasizing his work as a Special Care Planner.
He says, “My passion to serve is born out of my personal journey as a parent of a child with special needs. As a Special Care Planner, I help families who have children or other dependents with special needs address the serious questions concerning their future well-being. I work together with parents or caregivers to help ensure lifetime care and quality of life.” He assists families with a myriad of issues including understanding and accessing public benefits, preserving benefit eligibility through Special Needs Trusts, and Guardianship concerns.
