Spectra, the providers of Venue Management to the Owensboro Convention Center, made some changes to two upcoming events..
This Friday’s Live on the Lawn with Andy Brasher presented by Jagoe Homes will be rescheduled for Friday, August 7. Cynthia Murray is still scheduled to perform next Friday, July 31. Admission to this event on the Owensboro Convention Center front lawn is complimentary beginning at 6 p.m. with live music from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for both dates.
The front lawn will be marked off with limited, dedicated 10’x10’ “homes” for guests (each to accommodate up to 6 people from your household) with six foot aisles in between to allow for proper social distancing. Spaces will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guest can bring their own blankets, lawn chairs, and one bottle of water (all other outside food and beverage is prohibited). Concessions and bars will be available on site. Guests in attendance will have to wear a mask or face coverings while not in their “home” (designated space).
A fun twist has been added to the next Live on the Lawn – guests who attend the event on July 31 are encouraged to take a photo of themselves at the event. Post it to social media and tag the Owensboro Convention Center either on Facebook (@owensboroconventioncenter), Twitter (@OboroConvCtr) or Instagram (@owensconctr) for a chance to win a VIP experience to the August 7 Live on the Lawn, including a reserved “home” for the event complete with a bistro table and six chairs, plus six sodas and six hotdogs.
In addition to the postponement of this Friday’s Live on the Lawn, food and wine lovers will have to wait a few more weeks to enjoy the return of Cork & Cuisine. The Christmas holiday themed five-course food, wine, and spirits pairing event that was scheduled for last Thursday, July 23 will move to Thursday, August 6 at 6 p.m.
No more than six people will be allowed to sit at a 66” banquet table. Guests will not be seated with other parties. Tables will be set six feet apart from each other to allow for proper social distancing. All courses will be served.
Previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date. For guests still wanting to purchase tickets, they are available at OwensboroTickets.com for $65.25 per person and include all wines and spirits. Reservations only and guests must be 21 and over. Additional processing fees apply to all ticket sales.
Cork & Cuisine, Christmas in August is sponsored by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, Creation Gardens, and Ivy Trellis.
