Mickey Lee Sturgeon, 59, of Dale, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021, in St. Joe, Arkansas.
He was born to Robert and Nancy (Kline) Sturgeon on December 3, 1961, in Huntingburg.
A hardworking man and a Jack of all trades, he touched many lives with his kind heart and his willingness to help anyone in need. Mickey enjoyed being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting fishing and riding his four-wheeler. He was very loved and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his dad, Robert Sturgeon of Indiana; his wife, Rebecca Sturgeon; two sons, Timmy Sturgeon of Kentucky and Alex Sturgeon of Indiana; a daughter and her husband, Brittany, and Richard Leese of Indiana; three stepdaughters,Tiffany Pitts of Kentucky, and Cassie and Felicia Evans of Indiana; one brother, Jeff and his wife, Debbie Sturgeon, of Kentucky; two sisters and their husbands, Tammy and Jason Castillo and Peggy and Matthew Merriman, both of Indiana; an adopted son, Erik of Indiana; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy; a sister, Kimberly Kay; a brother, Mark; his stepmother, Darlene; and two infant grandsons, Jay and Hennessy.
A memorial service for Mickey Sturgeon will be held Monday, June 28, at 4 p.m. at Dale Presbyterian Church (8 North Main Street, across from Casey’s), with visitation at 3 p.m. prior to the service.
