Alaina Gay Blair, 55, of Hatfield, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville.
She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, on September 19, 1965, to Gary and Joyce E. (Bryant) Badger.
Alaina Gay — a name that truly couldn’t be forgotten, the name that was so easily associated with being a loving mother, strong sister, beloved daughter, and devoted friend. She built a home for all and welcomed everyone with a hug and her bellowing laugh that captured a room. Despite hardships and loss, she stayed strong. Alaina taught us many things throughout her time, but most importantly, she taught us how to love. She loved unconditionally and she loved hard.
She is survived by her daughter, Shelby Lynn Martin and her husband, Michael; her son, Jacob Hamilton Blair; her grandson, Lincoln Pierce Martin; her mother, Joyce Badger; her sister, Rachel Leigh Manring and her husband, Jeffrey; her niece, Morgan Jade Martin, and her husband, Ike; and her cousin, Conner Miles Sturgeon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Moman Lee “Pee Bob” Blair, and her father, Gary Badger.
