James Houston “Bubba” Coalter, Jr., 59, of Tell City, passed away on December 28, 2021, at Golden Living Center.
He was born in Shelbyville, Kentucky, on August 25, 1962, to James H. Coulter, Sr. and Betty Jo (Bennett) Coalter.
Bubba worked as a mechanic. He enjoyed working on vehicles, watching football and family get-togethers. Bubba particularly had a special bond with all his nieces and nephews.
Surviving are his siblings, Angie Schnarr (Greg), Rena Young and Sue Coalter, all of Jasper, Steve Coalter and Jennifer Coalter, both of Owensboro, Kentucky, Charlie Coalter (Cindy) of Dale, Lahoma Estrada (Eric Luttrell) of Whitesville, Kentucky and Randy Coalter of Terre Haute; a sister-in-law, Kim Kearney Coalter of Chrisney; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, Cecil “Cissy” Kay Coalter; a brother, Anthony ‘Tony” Allen Coalter and nephews, Justin T. Young and Rene “R.J.” Estrada.
A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
