In what Coach Katie Calhoun admitted was an extremely tough sectional field, the underdog Lady Rebels had to face arguably the favorite in their first post-season contest.
Despite a never-say-die attitude, South Spencer dropped an 8-0 decision to No. 4 ranked Evansville Mater Dei in the Class A, Sectional 48 opener last Tuesday night in Bretzville.
