Gerald “Jerry” Preston Bell, 66, of Grandview, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022, at his home.

Jerry was born in Tell City on January 13, 1956 to the late Stanley Bell and Mary Ruth (Harpe) Northrup.

A United States Navy veteran, he had worked as a millwright. He had also worked 13 years at Peerless Pottery and was a member of the Grandview Masonic Lodge.

He enjoyed gun collecting, loved his dogs, and going to car shows.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 33 years, Dawn (Biggs) Bell, whom he married on July 1, 1989; children, Samantha Church, Melissa Gugino, Tanath Reynolds and Sean Bell; 16 grandchildren; siblings, Roger Duwa, John Bell and Charlotte Maudsley; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jada Church, and siblings, Wanda McVay, Stanley Bell and Anita Jackson.

Services are 11 a.m. Friday, October 21, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Grandview with military honors.

Visitation is 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday, October 20, at the funeral home, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
