The Spencer County Public Library’s Rockport branch kicked off the summer season Friday, May 19th. There was a veritable street festival of young readers along Walnut Street partaking in games, face painting and food trucks. Bee Original Dawgs offered their signature hot dogs while Sips and Snacks brought out shaved ice and flavorful treats to help inaugurate summer vacation. Libraries across the county will continue to host activities throughout the summer months to keep kids engaged until the new school year begins.
