Larry A. Werne, 73, of Ferdinand, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. He was born in Washington on November 6, 1949, to Gilbert and Irene (Terwiske) Werne. He was united in marriage with Linda Head on September 9, 1972 in St. Ferdinand Church.
Larry was a member of Ferdinand American Legion and the Ferdinand V.F.W. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Viet-Nam War. He enjoyed fishing, reading and football.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Werne; one daughter, Karen (David) Willis of Gentryville; two sons, Jason Werne of Loveland, Ohio and Jonathan (Misty) Werne of Huntingburg; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Darla (Tom) Schipp of Ferdinand and Sharon (Kenneth) Persohn of Schnellville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Gary Werne.
