Frank A Durbin, 87, of Chrisney, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, with his family at his side.
Frank was born in Washington, Pennsylvania on September 12, 1935, to Albert and Lenora (Kuhn) Durbin.
Frank served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a member of Boonville VFW Post 3418 and also Rockport American Legion Post 254.
An avid golfer, Frank loved to play horseshoes, softball and bowling.
Frank was the Chrisney Town Marshall for a time, and was a bar and ice cream shop owner, as well as a mechanic in the local area for some years. He retired from Lake Rudolph.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Catherine Dianne Durbin; brother, Larry Durbin; and sisters, Joyce Dunbar Courtwright and Dorothy George.
Frank is survived by his son, Frank Durbin Jr. (Lacey); daughters, Christine Bunch (Roger) and Denna Hill (Aaron); sons, David Durbin (Sara) and Dennis Durbin; 14 grandchildren, Alex, Dallon, Trey, Luke, Jessica (Nate), Madison (Isaac), Lyndsey, Deedra (Cody), Darian (Tyler), Austin, Ethan, Dane, Landon and Charlee; and three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Adaline and Elliana.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday, July 1, at Boutlinghouse Funeral Home, Youngblood Chapel in Chrisney, with Deacon Mike Waninger officiating. Burial will be in St, Martin Catholic Cemetery, Centerville.
Visitation is from 4 until 7 p.m. on Friday, June 30, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home, Youngblood Chapel.
