Sammy Gene Price, 86, of Chrisney, passed away at Woodmont Health Campus in Boonville on Friday, January 19, 2024.
Sammy was born on April 23, 1937, in Gentryville to the late Samuel E. Price and Ida Mae (Oskins) Price.
Sammy was a farmer all his life. He loved to attend all the sporting events in the area and always knew how many points his great-grandsons had at the end of the game. He also liked to travel when he could.
He was a member of Bloomfield Wesley Chapel, and was also on the Lincolnland Bank Board.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Marlan and Becky Price.
Sammy is survived his wife, Dee Dee Price of Chrisney; daughter, Toni Price of Rockport; son, Terry Price of Chrisney; granddaughters, Katie Kelly and husband Meech of Rockport, Tara Peters and husband Brendon of Zionsville, Kendall Wolff and husband Jeremy of Nashville, TN, and Amanda Trent and husband Jesse of Carmel; great-grandsons, Dylan and Braylon Kelly of Rockport and George and Henry Peters of Zionsville.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home Youngblood Chapel in Chrisney with Pastor Paul Giles officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Chrisney.
Friends may call on Monday, January 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bloomfield Wesley Chapel or a favorite charity.
