Nina Lorraine Nichols, 99, of Rockport, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at The Waters of Rockport.
Lorraine was born in Corydon on September 19, 1926, to Lafayette and Elsie (Cline) Amy.
Lorraine had worked as an extension home economist and enjoyed sewing, drawing and quilting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Allen Nichols, Sr., who passed away in 2023. She was the last survivor of 17 children.
She is survived by her children, Jim Nichols Jr. (Mary Ann), Lafe Nichols, David Nichols (Kim), and Dale Nichols (Christina); her grandchildren, Thomas Nichols, Mark Nichols, Madeline Taylor (Jordan), Lilly Nichols, Emma Nichols, Ava Floyd, Aiden Floyd, James Adair, Sidney Joanna Nichols, and Rye Nichols; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, November 17, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Carl Jones officiating. Burial followed at Hackleman Cemetery in Chrisney.
