Betty Lou (Ward) Harrison, 83, of Chrisney, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022.
Betty was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on April 2, 1939, to the late Hubert and Lelia (Bounds) Ward.
She was an over-the-road truck driver for WLA Trucking in Mt. Airy, NC, before retiring and moving back to Southern Indiana. Betty was an avid computer user and enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family.
She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Bowman, Tammy (Sonny) Roach and Kelley Hessig; her son, Ward Hessig; grandchildren, Christopher (Kimberly) Hessig and Norman Lenerville; her brothers, John Ward, Sr., Mike (Anna) Ward and Steve (Patty) Ward; her sister, Mary (Frank) Johnson; sister-in-law, Geneva Crouse; and many nieces and nephews and special friends.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Roy A. Harrison, Sr.; her brothers, Pat Ward and David Ward; and her sister, Sally Henze.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home, Youngblood Chapel in Chrisney. Burial will follow at St. John’s Chrysostom Cemetery in New Boston.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home Youngblood Chapel in Chrisney.
