Carlton E. Rogier, 81, of Leopold, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2023 in Evansville.
He was born in Leopold on August 17, 1942 to Fred Alvin and Gertrude Mary (Gehlhausen) Rogier.
Carl was a 1962 graduate of Oil Township High School. He had worked for Commercial Filters, General Electric and retired from Perry Central Schools where he was a custodian.
He was member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and he enjoyed painting, pitching horseshoes and watching baseball, especially the Dodgers.
Surviving are his siblings, Marvin Rogier (Norma Jean), Tell City, Charlene Wheatley (Joe), Richland, Mary Luecke, Evanston, Carolyn Gehlhausen (Donnie), Chrisney, and Dennis Rogier (Linda), Rockport and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Ron and Leon Rogier.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. CDT on Monday, September 25, at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Rev. Brian Esarey will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be on Sunday, September 24, from 2-6 p.m. and Monday from 9-10:15 a.m. at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel.
