Homemade Queso Blanco
In honor of National Queso Day, here’s a recipe on how to make your own Queso Blanco that is sure to satisfy your snack craving!

Total time: 15 mins
– 1 lb. white American cheese, cubed
– 1/2 cup milk, or as needed
– 1 tbsp. butter or margarine
– 2 (4 oz) cans chopped green chiles
– 2 tsps. cumin
– 2 tsps. garlic powder
– 2 tsps. onion powder
– cayenne pepper to taste
Place cheese, milk, and butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until the cheese is melted.
Add green chilies, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper; stir until smooth. Thin with more milk if sauce is too thick.
Cook until heated through, about 2 minutes. Serve warm.
