Cheryl Lynne Simons, 67, of Rockport, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born in Staten Island, New York on December 28, 1954, to the late James Henry and Lola Mae (Hancock) Beckort.
Cheryl was a 1972 graduate of South Spencer High School and had worked as a secretary for several companies. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great-granddaughter. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff Simons of Rockport; her daughter, Shari Percifield and her husband, Mike, of Rockport; her son, Wesley Horn of Rockport; her grandson, Levi Percifield and his wife, Kirstin; her granddaughters, Bailey Percifield, Bre’kara Horn, Alyvia Horn and Savannah Horn; her great-granddaughter, Lola Percifield; and stepmother, Dorothy Beckort.
In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her grandson, Isaiah Horn, and her sisters, Cindy Flores and Pamela Beckort.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday, August 19, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Walter Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
Visitation is 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday, August 18, and from 9 until 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
