The Spencer County Health Officer, Stan Tretter, MD supports Governor Holcomb’s Executive Order 20-26 Stage 2:

“Back on Track” plan https://backontrack.in.gov/

Restaurants may open at 50% seating capacity on May 11, 2020. Servers & kitchen staff must wear face coverings.

High-Risk individuals (65 and older, and those under 65 with health conditions) should remain at home whenever possible

Religious services may convene inside places of worship if group remains 65 or health conditions) stay home.

Social distancing. Maintain a 6ft distance from people other than own household members    

Cloth face coverings highly recommended when outside of home 

Mass gatherings of no more than 25 

Citizen use of cloth face masks when in public

The Spencer County Health Officer, Stan Tretter, MD recommends for Spencer County Government:

County workforce should remain at minimal staff to minimize COVID exposure. 

Cloth face masks should be worn by all courthouse employees when away from their workstation 

COVID-19 symptom review should continue upon entering Spencer County government buildings

Court House should remain on limited public access (by appointment only). Business is encouraged to take place online, by phone or by mail when possible to limit exposure to public.

Visitors must wear cloth face masks when conducting business in the courthouse.

Mass gatherings should be limited to less than 25 people.

Wash hands with soap & water for 20 seconds often; if hand washing is unavailable, use hand sanitizer (at least 60% alcohol)

Cover your coughs & sneezes with a tissue; then throw in trash

Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands

Sanitize frequently touched surfaces and objects frequently

Avoid handshakes and ‘high-fives” to prevent the transmission of COVID-19

Stay home if you are sick, except to get medical care
