Donald C. Hathaway, age 79 of Jasper, passed away at 6:42 a.m. on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
Don was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 5, 1941 to John and Maxine (Floyd) Hathaway.
He was owner and operator of Pioneer Cleaning for over 30 years.
He spent the majority of his life in service to his God, Jehovah. He loved his creator and spending time in nature.
Don was one of the most loving, kind, compassionate and giving souls. He was well known and loved in the community and never met a stranger. He was generous and had a good sense of humor.
He enjoyed fishing, going to horse races, especially the Kentucky Derby and looking forward to the visits from his daughter and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time at his lake house in Santa Claus.
Surviving is his one daughter, Tami Gibson, Derby Line, VT; two grandchildren, Cole Crowder and Olivia Edmonds; two brothers, Jim and Dave Hathaway; and his companion for over 22 years, Janice Bieker, Jasper.
Per Donald’s wishes, he will be cremated.
