Donald G. Deeg, 93, of Rockport, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at the Heartford House in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Donald was born in Eureka on May 17, 1929, to the late Thomas and Helen (Bullock) Deeg.
He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He had worked as an electrician. Donald was a lifetime member of Rockport American Legion Post 254 and a member of Lakewood Country Club (now The Rustic).
He is survived by his sons, Gene Deeg (Margie Goodwin) and Lee Deeg (Melissa); his grandchildren, Vincent Deeg, Chelsea Deeg, Cherish Deeg, Amanda Bowman and Olivia Deeg; and his great-grandchildren, Kira Deeg, Annabelle Winders, Briana Deeg and Sherra Winders.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Mary June Deeg; his brothers, Robert “Bob” Deeg and Delbert Deeg; his sister, June Fulks; his daughter, Pamela Jo Deeg; and his grandson, Preston Deeg.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday, September 16, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Jim Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery with military honors.
Visitation is from 2 until 8 p.m. Thursday, September 15, at the funeral home.
