Donna Jean Young, 77, of Hatfield, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
Donna was born in Oak Park, Illinois on February 7, 1943, to Louis J. and Imogene (Janes) Jalovec.
She was a member of Hatfield Bethel Church, a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and had retired from the Spencer County Assessor’s Office in 2003.
Donna enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, traveling, playing piano, camping, sewing, bowling, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Young, and her grandson, Michael Pennington.
Donna is survived by her children, Gina Pennington (Steve), Tim Young, Melissa Zimmerman (Jesse) and Jonathan Young; her grandchildren, Andrew Pennington (Amanda), Cassie Miller (Jerron), Haylee Bell (John), Stella Nelson (Trevor), Chance Young, and Zoe Zimmerman; great-grandchildren, Javen, Brenleigh, Jaycek, Brylee, Justis, Ryah, Michael, Charli, Alexis, Aniyah, Ryder, Talon, Liam, Theo and Raisalyn; her brother, Steven Jalovec (Pam); several nieces and nephews; and her companion, Prissy.
Services for Donna Jean Young were held on Saturday, October, 10, at Hatfield Bethel Church, with Pastor John Wongler officiating.
Boultinghouse Funeral Home of Rockport was entrusted with care.
