Dorothy (Dottie) Johnson, of Rockport, died on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Dottie was born on September 12, 1933, to Ira and Inez (Skaggs) Goweay. She belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church in Rockport. She retired from General Electric in Owensboro in 1991 after 39 ½ years.
Dottie was preceded in death by her husband, George Johnson, in 1998; her parents; and her sisters, Katheryn, Jean and Lida Sue.
She is survived by her son Scott (Karen) Johnson of Longview, Texas; daughter Gayle (Scott) Vlink of Crown Point; grandchildren, Ryan Johnson and David, Mark and Kevin Vlink; and great-grandchildren, Conor Vlink and Leighton, Parker and Sterling Johnson.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 11, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. The funeral service will be the following day, Tuesday, December 12, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
